that baltimore city police have been responding to in the past 20 minutes or so. baltimore city police tweeted about three different shootings in the last 20 minutes. one of them happen on frankfurt avenue. two people were shot in the 2200 block of south even street. they have responded to seven shootings at five locations in the past 24 hours. that is how busy they have been just this labor day. seven people shot in five different incidents across the city. all the situations remain under investigation. we will pass along updates as we get them. sheldon dutes, wbal-tv 11 news. >> stake and harford county police need your help in identifying a driver who struck a female pedestrian of around 7:40 this evening. authorities said they found a woman struck by a car on southbound route 1 just north of here agree bypass. they said the woman was apparently waving her arms. the person the second vehicle swerved and tried to avoid her but struck her with the passenger side mirror. the victim was 28 years old and was taken to shock trauma where she is said to be in stable condition. anyone with informati

baltimore. police responded just after 10:30 last night. officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. the investigation continues into another late-night shooting. police say it happened after 9:00 p.m. on east 21st street. a male victim sustained non- life-threatening injuries. >> a rash of car victims has residence on alert. kim dacey is live in towson with tips on how residents can protect themselves. >> police say most of these were crimes of opportunities. people left their cars unlocked. some with the garage door opener still attached to the visor. police say there's a string of at least 30 car break-ins over the past two weeks. homeowners say they rifled through the cars and stolen things like credit cards and bags. in some cases, the thieves got the garage door openers in the cars and let themselves in, stealing valuables there, too. police are reiterating the importance of locking your car doors and making sure you don't have any valuables in plain sight. that is advice homeowners in the area are taking. >> there are neighbors who have been here for a long time who have said

of showers and thunderstorms up in baltimore and northern sections of baltimore county. that's been a bit of a hotspot this evening. they keep forming storm after storm up there. we have been dry in town. you can see around charlottesville some pretty good rain. this is moving north of 64 now. parts of culpeper county are beginning to get in on the act and again this rain will continue to move up and through. it's not in the metro area now, but i suspect as it holds together, it will at least bring a few showers through here 1:00, 2:00 in the morning. 79 degrees now, 75 for gaithersburg, 82 for quantico. dew points are extremely high and here in town it just jumped up to 74 degrees. 76 for fredericksburg and culpeper the dew point is 75. what we're dealing with here, remnants of isaac and we're still east of what is left of isaac, so we continue with this unsettled pattern, showers, thunderstorms, muggy conditions lingering. it does look like we'll be a little bit drier as we start getting into thursday and friday before more showers and thunderstorms come back into the forecast as we get
